When you sign up through Google, Instagram, or TikTok, we receive your name and email address from the SSO provider. We do not receive or store your social media passwords.

Social media content

We store the URLs you save along with content extracted from those URLs, including thumbnails, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries.

Usage data

We collect information about how you interact with Stashd, including pages visited and features used, through our analytics provider PostHog.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. Stripe handles all sensitive payment information under their own privacy policy.

Device and browser information

We collect standard technical information such as your browser type, operating system, and device type for analytics and to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Stashd service
• Process saved content with AI to generate summaries, categories, and tags
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmations and notifications (via Resend)
• Monitor usage patterns and performance to improve the experience (via PostHog)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe)
• Respond to support requests

4. AI Processing

Content you save is sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) for summarization, categorization, and tagging. These providers process your content under their own privacy policies:

We do not use your content to train AI models. Content is sent to these providers solely to generate results for you.

5. Information Sharing

We never sell your personal data.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Shared collections: If you share a collection publicly or with specific people, the content in that collection becomes visible to those users.
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate Stashd, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI processing).
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, which is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US West (Oregon) region (us-west-2). All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest.

We implement standard security measures to protect your information, including secure authentication, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: View and download the information we hold about you.
• Delete your account: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export your data: Request a copy of your saved content and account information.
• Opt out of analytics: You can disable PostHog tracking through your browser settings or by using a Do Not Track header.

Stashd is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Stashd is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Stashd, you consent to this transfer and processing.
