Fair Usage Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2026
Overview
Stashd is built for individuals who want to save and organize social media content for personal use. This Fair Usage Policy exists to make sure Stashd stays fast, reliable, and affordable for everyone.
What counts as fair use
- Saving content you genuinely want to revisit or reference
- Using AI chat to get insights from your saved content
- Sharing collections with friends and colleagues
- Using the Telegram bot or browser extension for personal saves
What is not allowed
- Bulk scraping or automated saving — using scripts, bots, or automation tools to mass-save content
- Reselling or redistributing — repackaging saved content for commercial purposes
- Abusing free tier limits — creating multiple accounts to circumvent save limits
- Excessive API usage — making requests at a rate that degrades service for other users
- Sharing account credentials — letting others use your account to bypass individual limits
What happens if you violate this policy
If we detect activity that violates this policy, we may take the following actions:
- Warning— we'll reach out to let you know what we observed and give you a chance to correct the behavior.
- Suspension— your account will be temporarily suspended. You'll receive an email notification and will be logged out immediately. During suspension you cannot access saved content or use any Stashd features.
- Permanent ban — in severe or repeated cases, your account may be permanently terminated and your data deleted.
Reinstatement
If your account is suspended, we may choose to reinstate it at our discretion. If reinstated, you'll receive an email notification and can log back in. Repeated violations after reinstatement will result in a permanent ban.
Questions?
If you think your account was suspended in error, or if you have questions about this policy, reply to the suspension email or contact us at support@trystashd.com.
